Gayndah Road Trip:
In July we traveled up to see a citrus grower in Gayndah to deliver products and to see how his compost tea brewing was going utilising our worm castings. We have been working with this grower for over a year now.
We also visited farms in the Woodford area on the way back home to the Gold Coast, We hope to be starting two soil rebuilding programs with two of these farms next month as the temperature starts to increase after the winter cold.
Workshop Gold Coast Succulent and Bromeliad Society Inc.:
We had our worm farming workshop today for the Gold Coast Succulent and Bromeliad Society Inc. there was a very good roll up of members for the meeting. We discussed home worm farming and how to produce good quality worm castings for the production of liquid fertilisers.
Varsity lakes community garden first birthday:
Today was Varsity lakes community gardens first birthday their theme was Christmas in July, What a great day was had by everyone, It was great to watch the members of this community garden all work together to put on this great first birthday party.
Wormtec had a display at the garden and were visited by most of the community garden member, we talked about how to garden organically, raising brix levels to control pest and disease and how to utilise a worm farm to produce your own soil improving products.
Wormtec Road Trip:
In May Wormtec had a road trip to visit farmers and clients from the Gold Coast QLD down to Dubbo NSW across to Port Macquarie NSW and then back up the coast to the Gold Coast; we would like to thank all our farming friends and Clients for making there time available to see us
Another Road Trip:
In June we visited the Sunshine Coast and up as far as Gympie visiting customers and delivering more Wormtec products to farmers.
Wormtec Agent for Albury-Wodonga:
We are in discussions and hope to be appointing an agent in Victoria to service, Southern Australia with our products.
Adelaide Fertiliser Company:
We have just sent another order of Wormtec worm extract to an Adelaide Fertiliser company they continue to purchase our worm extract to complement there fertilisers so that there customers are getting more benefits.
Wormtec and Coombabah State School:
Wormtec and the Coombabah state school are both working together to develop an aquaculture system at the Coombabah school, to help educate the students on organic growing and the environment.
Wormtec still working with community gardens across Gold Coast region:
We are very please to be still working with local community gardens and local community groups in how to worm farm and how to grow organically, we also teach basics of soil biology and how we can utilise this to grow healthier gardens.
Permablitz at Burleigh Heads School:
Wormtec supplied the organic soil for this new garden and we were very happy to assist with the building of this new garden in the shape of a fish, we also did a worm farming workshop on the day.
Ormeau, community garden open day.:
Wormtec was at the open day for Ormeau community garden everyone had a great day there.
Wormtec tests fertiliser pellet making machine:
Wormtec has just tested a fertiliser pelleting making machine so we can start to produce our own worm castings environmentally friendly fertiliser pellet.
Purchase of Isuzu truck:
Wormtec has just purchased an Isuzu truck so we can service a larger area with our environmentally friendly worm based fertilisers. We hope to be doing a run once a fortnight delivering products from Northern NSW to Gympie in QLD
High demand:

Wormtec runs workshop at Eco Inspiration week at Miami Gold Coast Queensland:
Wormtec was very pleased to be invited to run a worm farming workshop at the opening of the Miami community garden for Eco inspiration week. There was a good size group for the workshop, worm farming, organic gardening and organic soil improvement were all covered. Wormtec wins Environmental Business Award:
We are very please to have received the environmental business award at the green day out world environmental day on the Gold Coast.
Wormtec working with schools:
Working with school students, teaching the next generation how to care for our environment naturally. Wormtec is pleased to be working with the Coombabah State Primary School and there student to trial an organic soil rebuilding program on there sporting oval. The students will be using wormtec worm extract and two different seaweed products to see the benefits of going organic and using natural biology based soil improvers. The school grounds have stopped responding to synthetic fertilizers.
Coombabah school is very interested in moving away from chemicals and been more environmentally friendly, the school already have a water wise program in place and intend to keep moving forward with there aim of been more environmentally friendly. By minimising chemical use, water and reduce rubbish and waste. We hope to assist the school with a worm farm shortly.
The Soil food web institute and Southern Cross University Environmental Analysis Laboratory have both offered to do independent testing for this wormtec worm extract trial with the Coombabah state primary school students.
We will list updates on this program with the students as they become available.
Working with Farmers:
Wormtec have been busy visiting farmers with our compost extractor producing high grade worm extracts on site to save farmers having to pay high freight costs on product delivery. This allows farmers to purchase more product for less money. Please contact us if you require more information on this new service to farmers.

We have just started testing compost extract with the Soil Food Institute and Southern Cross university's Environmental Analysis Laboratory again. This is the soil improver of the future. we are having great results with this product Australia wide in Agricultural applications and home garden applications
Worm Tea Brewer:
Our new worm tea brewer under testing. We are very pleased to have taken delivery of our new 1500 litre aerated worm tea brewer, and we are presently working with the Soil Food Institute testing our recipes with our own produced worm cast, So that we can produce the best quality products for you the consumer. We have also been running trials with this new brewer and recipes on local dairy pasture with very positive results.
Testing With The Soil Food Institute:
After much testing with the Soil Food Institute our products are now far superior to what we had developed over the last
few years. I can't say how pleased we are with the positive development that we have been able to achieve with the assistance of
the Soil Food Institutes helpful staff. We will be continuing this program and the further development of our organic soil improving
products into the future with the sole aim of producing the best soil improving products available that are equivalent to synthetic
fertilizers without any negative environmental impact.

We are very pleased to be involved in the Soil Food Web Quality assurance program. Our worm cast has now been
approved by SFI as passing there rigorous standards and will improve the soil food web. We now have our worm cast listed on there
official web site as a beneficial product.
